Favourite Lipsticks

Hi everyone!!

Today's post is about my favourite lipsticks of all time. I adore them, which is why I wanted to share them with you. I'll leave swatches at the end.

The first two are both from two Bourjois discontinued lines. I'm sure there are dupes from other brands that you can get. The first one is Bourjois Lovely Brille in 01 Paradis Transparent. It is a very sheer, shimmery and creamy lipstick. It has a sheen and, after a few hours, it leaves simply the shimmer on the lips without drying them.
The second one is Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel in 06 Rose Tendre. This is a very true peach colour. It looks pinker than it actually is. It has an orange undertone but it is also very natural looking. It is creamy and feels very moisturising.

The next lipstick doesn't come in a lipstick form. Although it appears to be a lip gloss, it is a matte lip cream. The name? Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit. It is the kind of product that is very opaque with one single application and dries matte, which makes it last for hours. It does not dry your lips out, especially if you apply a bit of lip balm underneath. It has a very light texture which makes it extremely comfortable and also gives a very nice finish. It retails for £4.99 at Boots.
The following one is from Oriflame. I have mentioned it before. I still love it! It has that Kylie Jenner lip colour just slightly more muted. It is called Oriflame Pure Colour in Vintage Rose. It is very creamy, smooth and moisturising. It lasts for a good number of hours (around 3 or 4) and it also has a very natural look to it. It retails for £6.00 at the Oriflame website.

The last three are completely different shades from one another. The first one is Bourjois' Rouge Edition in 04 Rose Tweed. It is one my all time favourite shades because it goes with everything, doesn't dry the lips out and feels very comfortable. It has a very natural look and a velvet kind of finish. It is similar too Bourjois Sweet Kiss Naturel but has a pinker undertone. It retails for £7.99 at Boots
The next one is Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 01. This is a true and classic red. It has blue undertones, which helps your teeth look whiter and because of its lasting power, it does not budge which makes it easy to maintain. The lipstick is apparently infused with Black Diamonds which help it to reflect light, making your lips look fuller. It retails for £5.49 at Boots.
The last one is Maybelline Color Drama in 310 Berry Much. I have mentioned it in my May favourites and it is quickly becoming a June favourite. It has a very creamy consistency and feels very moisturising. It has very good and strong pigmentation and it can easily become matte if blotted. It is very low maintenance and it does not move around. It comes in a pencil form for easier application. It retails for £4.99 at Boots.

Here are the swatches for each of the lipsticks.

Hope you enjoyed! Let me know in the comments which are your favourite lipsticks of all time.

May Favourites

Hi everyone!!

Today, I'm back with another monthly favourites post. The month of May was very focused on the digital side of life as you will see. Although there were a few beauty favourites as well.

My first beauty favourite is the Maybelline Color Drama in Berry Much. Even though I bought it halfway through the month, it has been a staple on the few days that I do wear makeup. The product has a very creamy consistency and feels very moisturising. It comes in a pencil form and it is very easy to keep up with during the day. I bought mine at Boots where it is currently priced at £4.99.

The next beauty favourite is something I have had for years, which is amazing considering it is a sample size. The product I'm talking about is the Make Up For Ever Star Powder in 926 Iridescent Beige. It is a beautiful pigment and the picture does not do it enough justice! It is a sort of rose gold colour with gold fine glitter and it appears gold once it is on. It is my ultimate favourite eye makeup and bonus is it lasts a REALLY long time! I could not find the price but if you live in continental Europe you can find it at Sephora or any Make Up For Ever counter. Unfortunately for those that live in the UK, I could not find it, not even in the new Make Up For Ever counter at Debenhams. :(

The last beauty favourite has been the Oriflame Eyebrow Kit. It is a very good product especially for travelling as it includes two mini brushes and wax besides the two different shadows. I really like using the lighter colour on my brows but recently I have also been using it as eye shadows since the colours make a very good neutral eye makeup. The brushes are very good and the products have a very good staying power. The Eyebrow Kit can be found at the Oriflame website and it retails for £8.00.

Now, the reason why the month of May has been so digital is because I "rediscovered" some apps that I already owned and could not part from them. The first one I wanted to talk about is Planner Plus. This has been a life saver!! It is basically a planner in your phone and it lets you create any sort of event or routine and it also notifies you. It also allows you to colour code what you write in as well as choose when to be notified, if you wish to be notified. There is a free version called Planner Plus Lite which, I believe, has adverts and not many features. I invested in the paid version as I believe it is very worth it. It retails for £3.49 on the Google Play Store.

The next app has been the H&M app. This is self-explanatory as this is my favourite shop and the app is free. Although I recommend not having it in your phone if you want your bank account to stay nice and healthy.

The next app is the Sims Free Play app. This is a game where you create your own town and population. It is very similar to the original Sims but it is suitable for tablets and iPads. It does contain in-app purchases but it is easy to avoid them.

The next app is Subway Surfers. This game is based on train stations all over the world where your character is running from the inspector whilst avoiding being run over by trains. It is a free app and they update it monthly with bug fixes and new theme cities and limited characters. Right now it happens in Venice, Italy.

The final app has been Zumba Dance. I got this app a few years ago but I got a lot more into it lately. The app teaches you Zumba lessons whilst helping you to burn calories and learn new moves. It registers your moves and gives you points. The more points you get, the better! It has many fun and energetic songs. It costs a on-off £3.99 and you can buy new song packs in their store.

On to music. My favourite song of the month has been Frank Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon (£0.99). It is such a magical song and it gives an instant good vibe to brighten up anyone's day! I have also fallen back in love with Michael BublĂ©'s To Be Loved album (£8.99). I just can't get enough of his songs!

Finally, my favourite shows have been Family Guy and American Dad mainly because I find it hilarious. But, since I do have Netflix (be careful with Netflix as it is very persuasive), I have binge-watched the whole 4 seasons of Once Upon a Time! It is incredible!!! It gives such a spin to your run-of-the-mill fairy tale characters that you think they can't possibly confuse you any more. I recommend it to everyone!! Go watch it now!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know your monthly favourites below in comments.

February Favourites 2015

Hi everyone!!

Today we will be talking about my February Favourites! I know they are a bit late but I still wanted to share them because I thought you might want to try them out.

My first favourite has to be my new laptop. I purchased it at the end of January through my university bursary scheme. After many months of contemplating and having my sister look over the long list of possible laptops, she advised me that this one would be the best for my needs. It is an Acer Aspire E5-571 15.6 inch Intel core i5 Laptop. It has a very large screen (perfect for Netflix!!), it is very user friendly and the resolution of the screen is very good. It is also very fast, thin and easy to work with. It retails for £434.17 on Amazon (the link is at the end of the post).

Next up is a candle. I'm a huge lover of candles!! They just create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. For the past month I have been loving the Yankee Candle Turquoise Sky. According to the website, it has a scent of "calm, salty air with a hint of sea grass and musk, float gently on ocean waves".I could not agree more!! It reminds me of summer, which is my most FAVOURITE season! It has very fresh scent that relaxes you and transports you to the beach, to the smell of summer and to all your summer memories. It retails for £18.80 on Amazon.

My next favourite is my Gryffindor Hooded Sweatshirt. I got this sweatshirt at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London a few years ago. I usually wear it on lazy days or around the house. It is very warm and comfortable! It feels almost like a security blanket that children carry around for comfort. I got a few sizes up so that it would be over sized and be more comfortable. I strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a great quality hoodie. It retails for £39.95 at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London both in store and online.

Another comfortable favourite is a sweatshirt I got from H&M. It is an over sized sweatshirt that I had been eyeing for months waiting for it to go on sale! It is now on sale at H&M's website. It is so comfortable, perfect for those leggings and Uggs days and for just staying at home. It is as comfortable as the Gryffindor Hoodie. The only difference is that it doesn't have a hoodie ;)
It retails now, on sale, for £12 at H&M's website. I have been living in both these items!!

Also in this month's favourites, is my Filofax. It is a Domino Personal in Violet. I got on a spectacular deal of £6,49 at Amazon so I recommend keeping an eye on they're website for any flash sales! I have been using it a lot this month as I have been traveling and feeling very concerned with time management for uni. It has been a massive help as I have been able to keep track of all my to-dos and assignments. But there will be a more detailed post soon. For now I leave you pictures. Right now, it retails at £31.99 on Amazon. Remember to keep a close on the website as they have flash sales that they don't tell you about.

One of my beauty favourites this month has been the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. For its price, it is a very hydrating and overall high quality product. It smells and tastes like cherries and leaves a light tint as well as a great healthy shine on the lips. Highly recommend!! It retails for £2.99 at Boots.

Another beauty favourite for years now, has been the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof Mascara. It is the only mascara that holds my lashes' curl the whole day!! I have tested this several times. My lashes stay curled all day and it has very natural look. It is also very waterproof, as I have tested in a swimming pool! It retails for £7.19 at Boots.

My last favourites have been two bracelets that I have used every single day, I only take them out when taking a shower or doing the dishes. The first one is a Pandora bracelet. The bangle is from the Moments collection. I like it very much as it does not fall off my arm, like the previous on I had. It is also something very personal as all the charms on it have a story behind it. It is on of the few pieces of jewelry that I treasure the most! The bangle retails for £55 at Pandora. They're charms retail from around £20 to £540 depending on whether it is silver, silver and gold or pure gold.

My next bracelet is one that has been given to me by my best friend. She gave it to me as reminder of her and of our friendship, since we live in different countries. It is just a brown, faux-leather bracelet that just gives a very boho feel to any look.

I hope you enjoy this post! Please leave in the comments below your favourites for this month, I am very curious to know!

Thanks for reading ;)

January Beauty Favourites 2015

Hello everyone!!!

How has everyone been?
Hope the New Year has started one the right foot and with all possible happiness!

Today I bring you my January Favourites for 2015. This is my first ever Favourites post so I hope I do it justice! I will leave links to where you can find these items at the end.

The first thing I want to share is my favourite lip combo of the moment has been the Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit paired with the Bourjois Rouge Edition in 04 Rose Tweed.

The Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream comes in a lip gloss form with a sponge applicator. When you first apply it, it feels just like a non-sticky lip gloss and then once it starts drying, it becomes matte. It is very long lasting even through food and drink. Only comes off if you rub it off. This product retails for £4.99.

The Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick comes in a tube form and is very moisturising. it has this lip balm feel and finish to it which makes it look very natural. When applied over the top of the Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream, it gives a shine that almost looks like you're wearing a lip gloss but it is much more comfortable as it is not stick and it doesn't dry your lips. This product retails for £7.99.

The next product has been my Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay. It was given to me as a Christmas gift two years ago and it is still able to captivate me! The colours I tend to reach for the most are Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Busted and Blackout. Chopper (the fourth eye-shadow from the left) is a rosy copper shimmery colour with some glitter and I tend to use it on its own or as a lid colour when going for brown smokey eyes. Tease (the fifth shadow from the left) is matte taupe colour, great for basic, soft looks. Snakebite (sixth from the left) is brown colour with gold shimmer. I use this colour either on its own when I am in a rush and still want something stronger than Chopper all over the lid or as crease colour. Busted (second shadow from the right) and Blackout (first from the right) are darker colours that I tend to use either on the outer edge of my eye or as liner for both top and bottom lash lines. All the colours are VERY pigmented which makes its price very worth it!This product retails for £38.

My next favourites of the month have been Benefit's It's Potent Eye cream and Triple Performing Facial Emulsion. These products are very moisturising. The eye cream hydrates and softens the eye area a lot with the smallest of amounts and I have noticed that it has helped to fade my dark circles. The facial emulsion is very moisturising and, being an oil free formula, does not dry the skin out but it also does not allow the skin to become overly oily. I usually apply the facial emulsion in the morning and allow it to sink in for about 5 mins and then apply my makeup. The eye cream I apply at night after cleansing my face. The Facial Emulsion retails for £21.50 and the Eye Cream retails for £25.50.

The next products have been part of my night routine for at least 6 months now and I believe they are doing the right job. I have been using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as a toner after removing my makeup as well as after cleansing. It is very gentle and has no odour. After using this, I have been using the Nelson's Pure Argan Oil. This oil is very helpful with acne, scars, sun damage and hydration. I have noticed a very big difference in my skin as my acne and my acne scars have almost vanished. I have also been using it on any other dry areas on body such as elbows and knees and now they are extremely soft! I have just started my second bottle of this product and the first one lasted almost a year. You only need a little dollop. I have also been using on my neck which is now as soft as baby's skin. The Cleansing Water retails for £3.33 and the Argan oil retails for £11.

My last favourites have been my Gucci Envy Me perfume and my Travalo. I have used the Gucci Envy Me for years and most people now associate to me as it is not a very common perfume. It is a very fresh and sophisticated scent and, when I use it, I feel very chic and like a super star! I take it everywhere in my travalo. I got this special edition travalo from Amazon and it is very useful. You can refill it by connecting the bottom to the top of the perfume you want and you just click it until it's full. There is spillage anywhere and it is very easy to travel with. The Gucci Envy Me 100ml retails for £65 and the Travalo retails for £7.99.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and that you try some of these products. Let me know what you think of them on the comments below. Also, leave suggestions of posts you would like to see soon.
Have a great February!!

Beatriz xoxo
